Woman pregnant with a litter of at least 5 babies

China
The Associated Press
SONGYUAN (Jun 14, 2006)

Qiao Yubo, pregnant with at least five babies, walks with her husband near their home in China's northeast Jilin province.

Qiao, who is 1.67 metres tall, has a waistline of 1.75 metres five months into her pregnancy.

She eats up to seven meals a day and her excessive bulk is causing difficulties in getting around with taxi drivers too afraid to take her.

CBS fined 3.3 million for teen sex scene but....

The FCC recieved 4,211 complaints. Using the Freedom Of Information act, CBS learned that 100% of the complaints were generated by 2 right wing conservative websites. (The PTC and the American Family Association) None of the people complaining had actually seen the show. According to the complaint process, "FCC can only consider complaints from viewers in the station's broadcast area" CBS alleges none of the complainants saw the show, and the fines are invalid. Interesting to see how this turns out.

Btw, All actors were fully, (if not scantilly clothed).
A tree falling in the forest still offends, even if no one is around to see it.

Karl Rove Taking Bullets?

Via Atrios:
Never one to let the facts or delicious irony stand in the way of a vicious political smear, today Karl Rove took a swipe at war heros Sen. John Kerry and Rep. John Murtha, stating, "They may be with you for the first few bullets but they won't be there for the last tough battles." Rove, of course, never served in battle, dodging the draft for nearly three years of the Vietnam War. He's in good company, though-- the Vice President received five deferments from going into battle himself.

"Unfortunately for the American military, Dick Cheney, Karl Rove and their merry band of draft-dodgers won't be with you for the first few bullets, the last tough battles, or anywhere along the way," said Christy Setzer, Communications Director, Senate Majority Project.

Leaked: Majority Leader Boehner’s Confidential Strategy Memo For Thursday’s Iraq Debate

As if there was any doubt about republican tactics, Think Progress uncovered John Boehners confidential strategy memo for an upcoming Debate on Iraq.
Tactics include:
1. Exploit 9/11. The two page memo mentions 9/11 seven times. It describes debating Iraq in the context of 9/11 as “imperative.”

2. Attack opponents ad hominem. The memo describes those who opposes President Bush’s policies in Iraq as “sheepish,” “weak,” and “prone to waver endlessly.”

3. Create a false choice. The memo says the decision is between supporting President Bush’s policies and hoping terrorist threats will “fade away on their own.”

Read it.. send it to your republican friends and let them know how stupid their leaders think they really are.
