Liberal Media Myth

The Washington Post's ombudsman's recently blogged that lobbyist Jack Abramoff gave money to both parties. Despite what you hear, it is not true. Abramoff is/was a republican lobbyist and personally, only gave money to Republicans. Clients of his (the indian tribes) DID give money to some Democrats, but there is no evidence that it was directed by Abramoff, or that the money was given to democrats as part of a quid pro quo.

That started a firestorm of comments on the Post's blog.

The Post's ombudsman then tried to clarify her remarks, and made things worse.

The Post's solution??

Shut down comments on their blog, and take down the existing ones.
