Santorum : WMD's Found in Iraq ... er maybe not
Republicans are all a twitter over this:
"We have found weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, chemical weapons," Sen. Rick Santorum, R-Pa., said in a quickly called press conference late Wednesday afternoon. referring to a recently declassified document.
However further examination of the article reveals this:
"Offering the official administration response to FOX News, a senior Defense Department official pointed out that the chemical weapons were not in useable conditions.
"This does not reflect a capacity that was built up after 1991," the official said, adding the munitions "are not the WMDs this country and the rest of the world believed Iraq had, and not the WMDs for which this country went to war.""
Wow 3 years, 2500 dead soldiers, $320 billion, and they finally found
some bloated cans of fruit cocktail past its "sell by date".
There's a smoking mushroom cloud for ya.
As this stuff was all pre 1991 any chance they had made in the USA stamped on em? (From 1983 to 1990, the U.S. government approved around $200 million in arms sales to Iraq,)
There's a reason they kept it classified... it's embarrassing.
Read it on Fox (If you must)
